A great man! A great loss!
An incredibly interesting and gentle soul - surrogate father to me and grandfather to my son. It was an honour to be present during his last few hours. I will miss you and your incredibly soft hands. xxx

I had the privilege of getting to know Ron in the last years of his life. Ron was ever courteous and kind to me. I felt honoured to hear some of his stories from his long and varied life experiences. He told me, over the past year, that he had begun to dream vividly of his life and times, after many years without much in the way of dreaming. His beloved wife, Cynthia, featured in his dreams frequently. Ron always asked after my own concerns and loved ones. I always felt heard, by Ron, as he listened very well and retained it all. He was everything a respected elder and gentleman could be and he will be missed. All my best to his family and friends.

Another of the olde guard has gone to his eternal rest. We are saddened to hear of his passing, but, at the same time, happy for him. Larry first met Ron and his family in 1970 and kept in touch through the Military Police employment environment and annual Christmas greetings. To the family, now is time for mourning, but time will ease the sorrow and your hearts will be blessed with many smiles as you reflect on the life you shared. RIP Ron olde friend. Securitas! Diane & I send our love.
