Burial Services

At Evergreen Cremation Centre, we offer a variety of burial options as well, customized to suit your preferences and needs.  The act of choosing burial only referrers to how you or your loved one decide to deal with the mortal remains. Being buried is one of the oldest, and most widely-practiced traditions.  It gives a place for a memorial marker to be placed as a lasting remembrance to those who have died, and it provides a permanent place for people to visit and pay their respects however this in no way depicts the type of ceremony you are wishing for.  Below are brief descriptions of the most common services, but we invite you to contact Kevin Owens at Evergreen Cremation Centre to discuss any options you may need.

Funeral Service - Traditionally, a burial is combined with a funeral service which may include a private family of the deceased, and a ceremony within a church, but this does not always need to be the case.

Graveside Service - A Graveside Service can follow a traditional funeral, can come before a memorial service, or can be a stand-alone event. The service is held at the cemetery where the body will be interred. In general, Graveside Services tend to be fairly brief. The officiant or clergy will likely recite prayers or readings, a eulogy may be delivered, and the body will be lowered into the grave. In many cultures it is customary to have guests participate in placing dirt into the grave.

Immediate Burial - A burial that occurs shortly after death, generally with no viewing or visitation so embalming is often not necessary or required and is usually in a simple casket. If there is a viewing or visitation, this typically takes place shortly after the death and is attended by family only (no public visitation). . A Memorial Service is generally held at a later date or different location.
