Sharon Margaret (Steenhoff) AKERMAN

AKERMAN, Sharon Margaret (nee Steenhoff)

September 27th 1942 – December 13th 2024

It is with great regret we announce that Sharon, affectionately known as Omi to her grandchildren and great grandchildren, passed from amongst us, on her own terms, after a brief bought with cancer.

She leaves to mourn; her husband Terry of 42 years, sons Warren (Brenda), Doug, Bryce and daughter Jaela (Harry), stepdaughters Viva (Greg), Noelene (Mike) and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sisters Bonnie, Candy and their families.

Sharon received her Long Term Care Certificate at Vancouver Island University as well as having careers in banking and operating a deli in a grocery store.

Sharon enjoyed bowling, skiing, and golf but will always be known for her knitting, she leaves several totes on blankets and jackets for babies. She will forever be remembered for her spotless homemaking and the many festive dinners that she prepared for friends and family.

Gone but will always be loved and remembered and never forgotten.
