Ruth Margaret MUELLER

Ruth Margaret Mueller was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.  She left this world suddenly at her home in Chemainus, B.C.on June 14, 2022, at age 87.

Ruth was born to Leopold and Adela Stoik on July 2, 1934 in Vega, Alberta.  She met her husband, Immanuel Mueller and married in 1963.  They had three children: Keith, Dwight, and Sandra.

Together, Ruth and Immanuel were faithful servants of the Lord as missionaries in East Africa between 1964 and 1992. Their life together in Africa was marked with wonderful memories and accomplishments. 

Ruth loved spending time with her four grandchildren especially. She enjoyed time in the kitchen baking wonderful treats for her family and friends. Ruth was also an avid traveller who loved exploring other countries and cultures.

In recent years following a stroke in 2018, while Ruth was confined to a wheelchair, she still enjoyed life and took pleasure in looking over her garden, working on puzzles, spending time with her family and interacting with neighbours.

Ruth leaves behind her loving husband, Immanuel; brothers Erwin and Dan; children Keith, Dwight (Suzanne), and Sandra (Johan); and grandchildren, Jeremy, Jenna, Stefan and Mattias.

A funeral service is scheduled for 3pm on June 23, 2022 at Bethel Church in Ladysmith.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to VILLAGES OF HOPE, affiliated with the PAOC mission organization that supported Ruth and Immanuel during their 28 years of service in Africa.
