Ronald NADEAU Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our loving husband and father Ron Nadeau on Tuesday, September 8th, 2020, at the age of 80. Ronald Robert Nadeau was born in Quebec City. He travelled to B.C as a very young man at the age of 16, to achieve his Plumbing and Gasfitter’s ticket. He continued to broaden his education with various certifications in his field of expertise throughout his career as a plumber. He met and married the love of his life Carol, at the young age of 19 and had 3 daughters whom he adored. Ron continued to work hard at various places including SFU, City of Port Coquitlam and Pitt Meadows, as well as starting his own plumbing and heating business and finishing off his career with BC Ferries, which he loved until he retired at 65.

Ron accomplished many things throughout his life and was proud to have succeeded in completing 2 marathons with his wife Carol. Ron worked hard to build 3 houses for his family in Whonnock, Pitt Meadows, and Coquitlam B.C. While working for BC Ferries, he made the decision to transfer to Nanaimo to build his final dream home overlooking the Georgia Straight. Ron was very proud of his beautiful home and garden and was always found fixing or building something for their home.

In his retirement he enjoyed traveling the world with Carol and was able to visit many wonderful places.

Ron was very caring and showed this by helping others with their plumbing and contracting needs. He was always willing to help a friend in need. Ron enjoyed fishing with his wife, daughters and friends for many years on his boat “Tracker”. He loved gardening, nature, and feeding the birds in his yard. He loved watching the sunsets from his deck, golfing, reading, and most recently enjoyed learning the art of Tai Chi. He enjoyed the friendships he acquired through all of these activities.

Ron enjoyed spending time with all of his Grandchildren, he loved them all very much. Ron leaves behind his loving wife Carol, 3 daughters: Brenda (Jeff), Cheryl (Bob) and Tracey (Daryl), grandchildren Nicole, Robert, Taryn and Brayden, great-grandchild Jase, brothers Albert , Leo, and sister Martha. Ron was predeceased by his parents Charles and Mary and his sister Eileen. Ron enjoyed his life to the fullest. He will be deeply missed by all of his family and friends.
