Beth Nettleton was born to Robert and Olive Anderson of Morley Ontario, 100 years ago. She enjoyed an older brother Bill McHarg (now deceased) as they grew up in Southern Alberta.
Beth left home and attended Calgary General Hospital for nurses training, graduating in 1947. Beth met the love of her life Harold William Nettleton, and the two wed in Calgary Alberta in 1949. Both sensed God's call to the ministry and enrolled in Bible College in Victoria B.C. where they completed their studies in preparation for ministry. They served in full time pastoral ministry in Calgary Alberta from 1951-1955.
They pioneered a new church plant in the Northern Alberta community of Peace River, where they were instrumental in establishing church plants in numerous neighbouring communities over a period of twelve years.
In 1967 Harold and Beth and their five children moved to Ladysmith B.C on Vancouver Island where they pastored Bethel Pentecostal Church. It was in Bethel that their ministries would conclude.
Beth Nettleton leaves a legacy of church and community involvement and sons Paul Nettleton, Joel Nettleton, Daniel Nettleton and daughters Ruth Cowley and Joy Degraaf, 16 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
