Michael LEFEVRE Obituary

Michael LeFevre (Mike) passed away at home on Saturday November 2, 2024 after a long illness.

Mike was born September 28, 1942 in Edinburgh Scotland, moving to Victoria, BC. When he was 6yrs old.

He was raised in Oak Bay and graduated from Victoria High  School in 1960.

Mike joined the TD Bank after graduation. This was the start of a long and successful career.

He worked in many cities within BC and a for a time was transferred to Whitehorse YK. In 1978 Mike was transferred to the lower Mainland, where he met Leanna in 1983. He worked various positions until his retirement in 2002. 

In 2006 it was time to go back to Vancouver Island where he settled in Ladysmith.

Mike enjoyed many activities especially golfing, fishing, hunting, gardening and several trips beachcombing on the West Coast. He was a huge animal lover, especially all of his Labradors over the years. Taya is missing him, she was a constant companion while he was ill. 

Mike enjoyed travelling when he could fit it in between the fishing and hunting. He and Leanna enjoyed many wonderful trips together. Especially going back to connect with family in Scotland.

Michael was predeceased by his mother, Dorothy  father, Cecil  brother, John

Survived by his wife Leanna, brother Andrew ( Andy)

children,  Tammy (Jackson) Ryan (Heidi) Kim (Dave)

Seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren 

Two cousins in Scotland Jim(Christine) Elizabeth (Leslie)

 

Mike leaves many long time friends that share happy memories of fishing, golfing and hunting together and a love of the West Coast.

And a special friendship with Rod and Elizabeth from Australia who he met while in Scotland.

No service as per his request.

A Celebration of Life to take place in Spring 2025.
