Mary-Lou O’Donnell - August 24th 1950 = April 27th 2022

Mary-Lou began every day with zest and appreciation for what it might bring. Her life was rich with family and friends and her husband Randy felt blessed to work and travel through life, with her by his side. Generous, loving and adventurous, Mary-Lou embraced the unknowns of starting new photography businesses in both Vancouver and Nanaimo and was proud of the portraits gracing the homes of so many people. Traveling together, we enjoyed so many places – Turkey, Vietnam, Costa Rica, China, Portugal, Africa, and so many more. Above all else Mary-Lou loved our daughters Carrie and August, our sons-in-law Jason and Guillaume and our grandsons, Xenny and Julien. No one could make a new friend as quickly as Mary-Lou and her laughter and crazy, uninhibited antics will be missed by so many. Mary-Lou refused to let her illness define her and she lived life fully, until those she loved were all able to say goodbye. Our thanks to the angels of the NRGH palliative care center, both staff and volunteers, whose compassion extended beyond Mary-Lou to support those who loved and cared for her.
