In Loving Memory of
Marjorie Alice (Tebbutt) Bentum
March 11, 1935 - January 11, 2025
It is with the saddest of hearts we announce the passing of our dearly loved Mother, Marjie, at Cairnsmore Place, in Duncan, B.C.
Mom was a gentle, lovely Lady who was a devoted...Daughter, Sister, Wife to Ian (for 53 years), Sister-in-law and Mother to Laurie & Jan and to her Son's-in-law.
Mom was great at many things. She was a terrific bowler, an exceptional sewer, loved to read, and constantly challenged herself with the hardest of crossword puzzles. She was an amazing gardener, always with her trusty sidekick Paddy Dog by her side. She was a friend and a confidant.
Once retired, Dad from J.W. Griffiths Ltd and Mom from Fields, they did lots of travelling. They went to Saskatchewan to visit Tebbutt Relatives, the Okanagan to see Dad's Sister Ruth & Bill, and many points throughout B.C. They loved Hawaii and visited there many times. They took lots of fishing trips out into our local waters and it made them so happy to BBQ their catch on the little old Hibachi for Family and/or Friends on their deck that overlooked The Creek.
Mom is so dearly loved and missed by her Daughters, Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren...
*Laurie & Jay..John & Cassie, Leo & Orion. Scott & Kalli, Conri & Akroma.
*Jan & Brent..Graham & Sheryl, Finn & Remy. Stephanie & Reid, Oliver & Elliot.
Mom had 2 well-loved Brothers:
* Ken & Bonnie..Brock (who passed in Dec/24), K.C., Mark, Karin, Raeleen and Kristyn and all their precious families.
*David (Bud) & Carol..Leslie and Tim and their precious families.
Sister-in-law Ruth (now passed).. her Children Dean, Cori and Patricia and their precious families.
At this time, Marjie's Family would like to give our Gratitude and Thanks to the Staff at Cairnsmore Place. The Bentum Girls could not have gone thru Mom's Long Journey without your guidance, love and support!
Mom...may you have found Dad & Paddy, walked In The Garden together and now are Resting In Peace.
The Family will announce a date for a Celebration of Life at a later time.
