Lesley Margaret (Gould) WINSTON

Lesley Margaret Winston nee Gould - nee Linda Mae Kurek

July 26, 1950 - April 3, 2026

It is with deep sadness we announce that after a brief and sudden illness, our beloved Lesley has left us to fly with the Angels. 

Lesley was a gentle, kindhearted, compassionate soul. The world is lesser for her loss. 

During her life Lesley worked at B.C. Ferries onboard in customer service, as a chambermaid in Banff, a property manager and as a housekeeper and personal cook in Calgary.

Lesley was adventurous and enjoyed travelling. She backpacked through Europe, visited Hawaii and cruised the Caribbean. She went to Chicago, San Diego, Rocky Mountain House and Las Vegas with her husband Dennis. 

After retiring Lesley volunteered for Nanaimo Family Services, delivering hot meals to those in need. She would also volunteer at Nanaimo Tourism, the Salvation Army "Kettle Drive" and in a good karma way the Nanaimo Hospice, where she was lovingly cared for in her last days. 

Lesley will be forever missed and loved by her husband of 25 years Dennis Shupe, her step daughters Cindy, Jana and Tyra, her sister Janis Smith and her nephews Luke and Cody Michaud.
