Passed away peacefully at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at the age of 58. Kevin is now in the safe arms of his Lord and Saviour.
Dear husband of Cindy (Prest) Davidson of Ladysmith, B.C. for 18 years. Cherished son of Judith Davidson of Lindsay, Ont.; Rod Davidson (Cathy) of Cobblehill, B.C.; Mary Burns of Chilliwack, B.C.; and the late Alexander Burns. Valued son-in-law to the late Betty and George Prest of Ailsa Craig, Ont. Proud stepfather to Crystal McNab (Marty) of Brooklin, Ont.; Jennifer Foden (Mike) of Toronto, Ont.; and Stephanie Foden (Maciek) of Zurich, Switzerland. Beloved grandfather to Kaiya and Kieran McNab of Brooklin, Ont. Dear brother to Debra Burns (Tom) of Chilliwack, B.C.; Alex Burns of New Westminster, B.C.; Lance Davidson (Michelle) of Port Perry, Ont.; Danielle Britton (John) of Peterborough, Ont.; and Joanna Britton (Benni) of Hamilton, Ont. He was a dear brother-in-law to Bonnie Verbruggen and the late Bill Prest of London, Ont. Fondly remembered by his aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Kevin shared an especially close bond with his Aunt Deborah. His loyal companion, Riley, will also feel the loss profoundly.
Raised in Cannington and Lindsay, Ont., Kevin attended Durham College, earning a diploma in business before becoming a licensed stone mason, a profession through which he took immense pride. His love for his family was unconditional and his bond with his dogs, Riley and the late Brodie, was a testament to his caring nature.
A devout Christian, Kevin cherished his community at Bethel Pentecostal Church in Ladysmith, B.C. Despite his health struggles over the years, his legacy lives on through his decision to be an organ donor, saving the life of another.
Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at Bethel Pentecostal Church in Ladysmith, B.C. on June 21st at 1 p.m. PST. The service will be livestreamed at https://www.youtube.com/@bethelchurchladysmith (link will be accessible at time of service). A celebration of life will also take place in Lindsay, Ont. at a later date. Interment of ashes will take place at Mars Hill Cemetery in Brinsley, Ont.
