It is with impossibly heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Katryna Elizabeth Andreeff on April 16, 2023, at the age of 30. Born June 17, 1992, at NRGH, Katryna was the youngest of the family and a beautiful ball of energy. She spent her school years in Red Deer, Alberta, and was exceptional in the visual arts, particularly in drawing. She will be remembered by her strength, her wit, her love for animals, and her contagious laugh. She made friends easily and was very loyal to the people she loved. She moved back to Nanaimo, in 2019, and lived there for the last few years of her life.
She is survived by many loving family members including her parents, Kathryn and Don Nichol, her daughter, Renalynn, her older sister, Krysta Murphy (Jordan Graham), her grandmother, Linda Nichol, her aunt (namesake) and uncle, Elizabeth de Haan and Mitch Montgomery, her uncles Bill and Tim Nichol, and countless distant relatives, and friends, who loved her. She joins her late Oma and Opa (Anne and Bob de Haan), and Grandpa Nichol (Cookie Monster), who we know have welcomed her with open arms and will take care of her.
Until we meet again… Rest easy, Beanie Bear.
