With broken and heavy hearts, the family of Jeremy Charles Barnhart of Nanaimo, British Columbia, Canada, wish to announce that Jeremy went to be with his Creator, Lord and Saviour on Friday, September 23, 2022. He died of complications from esophageal cancer, from which he had suffered for more than a year. He died with his sister, Vanessa Hogan, at his side in the palliative care unit at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital.
Jeremy was diagnosed with late-stage cancer late last summer and was not expected to live beyond Christmas 2021. God, however, was gracious and kind, offering Jeremy and his friends and family a fulfilling Christmas, New year and even the celebration of Jeremy’s 44th birthday on February 7, 2021.
Jeremy is survived by his sister, Vanessa Hogan and her husband Brant, two nieces—Alisa, 17 and Sophia, 13—and two nephews—Tyler, 20 (wife Zoe and daughter, Skylar) and Brennan, 15—all of whom live in California, U. S. A. He was preceded in death by his older sister, (Victoria Lee) and his beloved parents, (Charles Herbert and Carol Eloise Barnhart).
There will be a funeral service for friends and other loved ones on Friday, October 7 at 1:00 pm at the Church of the Nazarene in Nanaimo.
