Frederick Arthur TOFTS

Tofts, Frederick Arthur – December 6th, 1936 – July 31st, 2020

With great sadness and love, Frederick Arthur Tofts, has gone home to heaven, to paint masterpieces in the sky. At the age of 83, and after a short, pain free decline, he closed his eyes for the last time on July 31st, 2020 with his loving wife, Valerie,  of 59 years and his three daughters, Lorraine, Beverley and Claire by his side, listening to favourite old songs that his family in the UK sent from a far. His son, David, was with him until the last day. 

His Grandchildren, Andrea, Mitchell, Ryan, Max, Samantha, Madeleine and Kaitlyn, along with his six great grandchildren,  all but a heart-beat away. Born in Barking, England,  one of eight, he is reuniting with his parents and two of his sisters.

He left a huge impact on the world with his brilliance, humour and many talents. His career as an electronics engineer took him around the world, always returning home with stories and adventures to share. 1n 1974, he shared a life long adventure with  his family by moving them to Canada where they all live, spending his last years in Nanaimo on Vancouver Island. As a self-taught artist, he leaves his art on our walls to admire daily. The biggest part of his legacy will be his family, loving and united. We will continue to tell his stories, sing his songs and dance with ties on our heads, remembering the unique and wonderful man that he was.
