Edward Gabriel Guertin
March 23,1937-January 14, 2020
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Edward in Nanaimo BC after a lengthy illness. He was a loving, loyal, generous and honest man. He was quietly humble and caring in all he did.
Edward was born in St. Boniface, Winnipeg, the eldest son of Agnes and Leo (deceased). He is survived by his partner of many years Patricia, son Michael(Shauna), daughter Jennith, grandchildren Taylor, Tanner, Addison and Jaidyn, step daughter Emily(Jaime), brother Claude(Claire), sister Lorraine, Aunt Annette and many nieces and nephews.
Edward attended the University of Manitoba earning a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Arts. He worked for the City of Winnipeg as a Transportation Research Planner. After 30 years with the City he moved to Gabriola Island BC where he would spend his retirement. He had many happy years on the Island, enjoying the peaceful lifestyle, leisure time and hobby time, and many happy hours in his workshop. In 2015 he moved to Nanaimo and continued to enjoy his life. We all love him dearly and he will be deeply missed.
