Dorothy Jane MacIntyre (née Clark), born in Kamloops, British Columbia, passed away peacefully on the evening of February 23, 2026, at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital, with her partner, Stephen John Cochrane, and his children by her side.
Dorothy is survived by her brothers, Doran James Clark in Calgary, Alberta and Warren Peter Clark in Edmonton, Alberta and her loving partner, Stephen John Cochrane.
Dorothy touched the hearts of many in her community with her warmth, generosity, and gentle spirit. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile and the kindness she extended so freely to those around her.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff of the Emergency Department and Palliative Care Unit at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital for their exceptional care and support during this time.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Dorothy’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Nanaimo & District Hospital Foundation.
