Donald BROWN Obituary

With sorrow, we announce the passing of Donald Trevor Brown at the age of 85. His final days were spent peacefully at his home in Ladysmith, BC where he could look out over the garden and trees in the companionship of his Golden Retriever, 'Lexy'.
Beloved wife of Lynda, father of Donna Steinmiller (Eric), Lynette Hoar (Frank), Serena Milet (Allan), admired stepfather of Kevin Bork (Christie). Grandfather of Christopher, Julia, Miranda, and Sharyl, Gregory and Patrick, Kendal, Lyndon and Emma.
Great grandfather of Ella and Olivia; Hayley, Peyton and Ethan.
He will be missed by his extended family in New Zealand; brother Raymond, and sisters Valerie and Sharon.
Born in New Zealand, Don followed the call to travel, moving his family to Canada in 1967.  He established Vital Automotive Rustproofing, while living in Toronto and later moved to Fenelon Falls, Ontario where he operated the Astonia Resort and started a flying school out of the Lindsay Airport.
In his youth, he learned to fly with the Royal New Zealand Airforce which started his love affair for flying. In 1990 he co-founded Vital Aviation; a flying school that he operated with his wife Lynda in Nanaimo, BC
He will be remembered for his love of adventure, his sense of humour and his self confidence to undertake whatever he desired to do.
