Charles Arthur Brown
July 19, 1934 – January 11, 2021
Passed away peacefully at Nanaimo General Hospital Palliative Care Ward in his 86th year. He was a former resident of Kenora, ON, Abbotsford, BC and latterly of Ladysmith on Vancouver Island.
Predeceased by his parents, 1 sister, 1 brother and his wife Adeline. He is survived by his wife Judith Rupka, 2 sons Jeffery and Neil (BC) 1 daughter Catharine (WA) 2 step-daughters (ON)and 1 brother Harry (BC). He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, and his extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins an a multitude of friends in Canada, US and many other countries.
By trade, he was a Mechanic Technician working in numerous countries around the world – his favourite place was working in Hawaii and Chile building telescopes for over 40 years He was also the owner of a steel fabricating and construction plant in BC. He was an avid sports fan, playing hockey and coaching younger leagues for many years. In later years woodturning became his passion, making beautiful articles for family and friends.
Cremation has taken place. As per Arthur’s wishes there will be no service. Interment will be in Abbotsford BC at a later date.
