It is with the heaviest of broken hearts that we must announce the passing of Carter Gerard Swanson, 31years old, of Nanaimo BC on April 12th, 2023.

Born and raised in Nanaimo, BC, Carter is survived by his son-Cecil Kelly [Mother-Cheryl Kelly of Edmonton], Father Andrew G Swanson, Mother Tammy L Rogers, Sisters-Audra McInnes, Lora-Mae Swanson-Halliburton, {Kevin}, Maternal Grandmother-Rose McInnes, Paternal Grandmother-Lori Swanson, Paternal Grandfather–Andrew Swanson {Deanea}, Uncles-Guy McInnes {Doddy} and Reg Swanson, Aunts-Jodi White {Mike}, Ginny Swanson and Lisa Verstraten, Nieces-Dezirey McInnes, Emily McInnes, Sadie Halliburton and Izabella Halliburton and Nephew Stylz Halliburton, Girlfriend-Jacqualine Bonner and Best Friend-Christopher Bonner{Bro}.

Predeceased by infant Brother-Cody Swanson, Grandfather-Jerry McInnes and close Family Friend-Sheila Bonner.

I would like to send out an honorable mention to all Paramedics and Medical Staff involved and Evergreen Cremation for all their services, very much appreciated, thank-you.

Carter enjoyed life to its fullest, he was well known for his cheerful disposition, extraordinary caring ways and his silly jokes. Carter was a defender of women and children and possessed a chivalry not often seen in men of his age.

Carter was cremated and a local service will be held with friends and family to commemorate his life on his birthday, July 4th 2023 at Swy-a-Lana Park in Maffeo Sutton Park Gazebo in Nanaimo,BC. There will be a BBQ and Potluck (Spirit Feast) which I believe Carter would just love!

Carter will forever be PROFOUNDLY missed yet never forgotten...

The world was a kinder place with Carter on it. Remembered as a GOOD MAN!
