Margaret passed away at the age of 102 on July 10 after a short illness. She was born on July 7, 1917 in London Ontario the daughter of Cecil and Effie Turnour.
She spent her early years with her two brothers Chad and Noel in Plato and Lanigan Saskatchewan as the daughter of a prairie bank manager. She married Donald McGeary in 1939 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and spent her early married years in various parts of the country including Goose Bay Labrador. Most of her time while raising a family she lived in St James, a suburb of Winnipeg Manitoba, with many happy days at their cottage at Falcon Lake.
She attended University of Saskatchewan and University of Winnipeg where she graduated with a BA.
In later life she lived in Aurora and Oakville ON, Longwood in Nanaimo on Vancouver Island and finally Berwick on the Lake in Nanaimo BC.
She was predeceased by her two brothers, her son Wayne in 1996 and her husband Don in 1997.
She is missed greatly by daughter Wendy and sons, Garth, Hugh and Jim and by grandchildren Nadia, Timon, Lara, Matthew, Devon, Jordan, Whitney, Kait and Carson
and great grandchildren Skyler, Charlotte and Orion.
A celebration of life will be held at Berwick on the Lake at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 30.
