When I received the phone call from Kelly on the morning of December 18th and she told me that her mother had died it came as a real shock. Grace and I first met Joan in 1959 and have been close friends ever since. I have so many wonderful memories of the times our families spent together over the years. She was a wonderful person and a genuine friend. She is sorely missed.

I am so very sorry to hear of Joan's passing. She was a wonderful person and good friend. We met in Winnipeg and shared our birthdays on the same day - February 16. I have fond memories of spending time with Joan and Terry at their home in BC. God Bless you Joan - I shall raise my glass in memory of you and the good times we had.

What a beautiful tribute to your mom/grandmother. It is easy to see where all of you get your strength, tenacity and pride. I am grateful that I have met Joan and had a few "cheers" with her. Joan has brought up such a wonderful family. She will be missed. Here's cheers Joan!
