The staff at Evergreen Cremation Centre Ltd. is here to help our customers and try to make things easier at a time that many people feel overwhelmed.  It is our belief that your needs are important and we are dedicated to meeting those needs.  

We Accept All Prearrangements – Regardless where you may have prepaid for cremation arrangements we will honor your arrangements and collect directly from the financial institution or insurance company holding these funds. You are not obligated to use the provider you arranged through originally. We will handle the paperwork necessary to transfer your plans to our care. And, if our prices are below your pre-arranged contracts, we will refund you the difference.

We provide some of the same services and merchandise as the larger, traditional funeral homes including creating the original Provincial Death Certificate, notifying Vital Statistics, returning, shipping or arranging interments of cremated remains, placing obituaries etc.  However not everything has to be the same:

We Can Come To You – for some people, coming to a funeral home can be very daunting and stressful, emotions are high. We will come to your home at no extra cost, and as your guest, you can have the comfort of your own home and we will bring our options to you in person.

In today’s hectic world, we can also make arrangements with the use of E-mails and telephone conversations.

Evergreen Cremation Centre is an Island family owned business.  This means we do not have shareholders or a board of directors to report to, nor do we have a head office out of province or country.

Green Cremation Caskets and Urns – Being born on Vancouver Island, our family is thoughtful to the environment; our forests, oceans and waterways.  We offer a range of Green Cremation Caskets and Biodegradable urns, in addition to the traditional cremation options found at other funeral providers.

Our Overhead Is Low – We do not have large investments in large facilities, funeral cars, or staffing. We utilize basic transfer vehicles, simple arrangement offices and low inventory, which means we can keep our costs down and prices low.

We Do Not Have Commissioned Sales People – We do not “sell”.  It is not our right, nor are we able to “tell” you what is right for your family.  Our staff will listen to your wants and needs give you information based on your thoughts, but ultimately the choice is yours and we honour that right.  We have no commissions, no “sales based bonus”, there is no pressure.   

We Honour all Memorial Society Memberships - We will serve all members of any memorial society and will honour the pricing set by your society’s guidelines.
